The Phares House frame was raised in October 2024, with construction completed in 2025. It was originally a barn built around the mid-1800s in Hancock County, Indiana. It stood with a 46’x64’ footprint, however we added 16’ of length by building an additional bent out of new hand hewn white oak. It is now a 46’x80’ home in northern Hancock County - just 11 miles from where it stood for over 150 years.

The design changed to a monitor style barn, so we raised the main frame 3’ while also dropping the “lean-to” additions down 2’. This frame required many repairs, modifications and additions - all of which were completed in our shop.
